Ben Johnson
1. Misplaced so many passes. Definitely a lack of confidence and most likely nerves in a big game

2. Every time he had a forward pass on, he took the safe option and passed back to Cresswell. Move breaks down, momentum lost and City get back in position.

3. Both goals conceded he played a part. 1st goal he doesn't even try stopping the cross from De Bruyne. 2nd goal he is 1 yard behind the defensive line, plays Mahrez on and doesn't close down Mahrez quick enough.

I blame Moyes for not subbing him off at HT after having such a stinker 1st half.

Re: Ben Johnson
He didnt have one of his better games.

But, he's a young player, learning his craft, playing on his wrong side. Oh, and he was up agaisnt argubly, one of the best teams in the world.

I wouldnt read too much into today's performance, we have a fine young footballer on our hands.

Move along now, nothing to see here.

Can’t disagree with that. Worst of our players. His booking was stupid though.

Re: Ben Johnson
Or

Young lad learning his craft playing at the world's most in form side - shaky start but did exactly what you should, stay busy and play yourself in

Ordinarily, he would be an occasional sub gently feeling his way in but has been thrust into the side and his development is rapid

Good young player who will be a fine pro, one of ours and deserving of our support

Re: Ben Johnson
We shouldn't be digging anyone out today after that effort you chump, but if anyone is to blame, Diop for their first goal and that miss at the end, 2 massive moments, but he played well apart from that.

Digging out a young player still learning and playing against probably the best club team in the world right now.

Only on WHO.

Re: Ben Johnson
He's a young right back playing left wing back so he's always on his weaker foot. It's disgusting to use him this way as it's goin to hinder his development. There would be a case for arguing that a better wing back should be out of position and keep the kid where he can be at his best. On that basis, Coufal should be on the left.

I thought he had a good game, lots of potential.

Re: Ben Johnson
Get behind the lad.
I'm sure he'll be given the professional coaching he needs to improve, I hope he keeps growing in confidence.
Regardless of opposition, from the games I've seen him in so far, I think he looks more comfortable on the right than on the left, but I understand why he was played there today.

Youngsters are often inconsistent, but most with Johnson's ability shake that off. He probably will too.

Declan Rice's initial and continued consistency must've have spoiled some people.

great prospect and getting better with every game, I don't blame him for anything other than a few misplaced passes

Re: Ben Johnson
He is raw, but feel there is a player there. Maybe a loan to a decent fizzy side next season could be the ticket.

Oh, and stop being nasty, can't you see you are upsetting people and making them cry.

Re: Ben Johnson
He pushed KDB onto his weak foot for the first which is the best thing to do. Unfortunately, that was then followed by a bit of wizardry.

Didn’t have a great game but there are some amazing overreactions about it. The kid’s 20, he’ll learn and improve and has had a really good season.
